    Description

    Hensortech Controls model RC225
This controller is simple, complete, and very compact.  It is perfect for a typical whole house RO System.  The cycle features of the controller have been proven to give the membrane a long life.  Much of the time a whole house RO is sitting idle.  It is very detrimental to the membrane to sit in extremely high solids water during this time.  A post-cycle flush with clean permeate water will provide a good environment for the membrane when the system is idle.  This can greatly extend the life of the membrane.
If the unit is located where a leak might damage the floors in the house, a flood switch (Diversitech WS-1) can be connected to shut off the feed valve and flush valve.
All cable entry locations are pre-drilled for ease of installation.  The size of the holes can be increased to fit the individual cables.  The solenoid and signal cables are low voltage.
This product is made in America.  If you have any questions, please contact us.
    Operation
When the float switch reaches the low level in the permeate storage tank, it starts the cycle.  The feed valve opens, pressurizes the system and purges any air so that the shock to the membrane will be minimal when the pump comes on.  One minute later the pump comes on if the feed pressure is sufficient.  If at any time the feed pressure should drop below an acceptable level, then the controller will shut of the pump and go into low pressure alarm.  The problem with the feed pressure must be corrected and the alarm reset.
When the float switch reaches the full level, then the pump shuts off and the feed valve closes.  The flush valve opens and flushes the membrane housing with clean permeate water for four minutes.  When the four minutes is up, the flush valve closes and the cycle ends.  The membrane sits in clean water waiting for the next cycle to begin.
A float switch bypass setting conveniently allows you to run the cycle without having a low tank level.
    Specifications
Input Power:          115 or 230 VAC, 60 Hz.  Supply circuit breaker protection should be a maximum of 20 amps.
Pump Motor:          Pump motor voltage is the same as the input power.  Maximum 1 HP @ 115V or 2 HP @ 230V.
No external motor contactor is required.  The motor leads connect directly to the controller.
Solenoid Valves:   Solenoid voltage is 24 VAC.  There are two valves:  A feed valve and a flush valve.
Inputs:                   There are two inputs:  A float switch in the permeate storage tank starts and stops the cycle.  A pressure switch protects the pump from running dry.
Indicator LEDs:     Power, feed valve, pump motor, flush valve, and pressure alarm.
Location:               Not suitable for outdoor locations.
