    When used with the compatible water filtration system (sold separately), this cartridge uses a built-in scale inhibitor with slowly soluble polyphosphate to reduce scale buildup and corrosion in pipes, on evaporator plates, or in other components - even under the hardest water conditions. This cartridge provides a maximum flow rate of 1.25 GPM when installed. Its capacity is rated at 20,000 gallons.
